Hair-ah!

So not like me: 2 posts in one day, I suppose a HURRAH is in order! Mostly because I just found the perfect pic to bring to the hairdressers next week (normally I only go for a fringe trim because I don't trust many hairdressers to touch my hair..I have been hair-raped before hence my scare for these creatures). But just look at this stunning cut on Abbey Lee, fantastic!

Hello stranger

Sorry blog I have been neglecting you; so much stuff happening right now which will hopefully lead to an exciting start of the new year. Right now I am having my eyes on these beauties ( I know all of Sweden is going on about the new Acne Track booties but I think the low rider is the one to die for) :

Paris Fashion Week

After spending the afternoon on style.com viewing all the shows from Paris Fashion Week I have to say I am slightly dissapointed. Balmain is the same old snooze, Lanvin I like elements off but not the collection as a whole, Balenciaga, Celine, Dries Van Noten are all rather boring. Maison Martin Margiela's sandwich board theme became too much (I normally love Margiela, but alltogether it just wasn't wearable). Hussein Chalayan seemed to have fallen just as flat as Margiela. My favourites ara Yojhi Yamamoto minus the slogan tees (maybe because it is all mainly black with just the right addition of goth) and Haider Ackermann (which was nicely balanced between soigné and louche in a beautiful colour scale).

M M M

Maison Martin Margiela is finally launching a web shop. Oh dear, this will be dangerous! The official date is October 1st, and for the launch a limited edition signature piece will be sold on the website ; a reinterpretation of their iconic 5 zipper biker jacket. There will only be 100 jackets for sale, 50 for men and 50 for women. So log onto www.maisonmartinmargiela.com on October 1st for some Margiela heaven. I sure will...

Holland gets sophisticated

There is no question that Henry Holland is getting older. And with age comes sophistication. He said himself that he makes clothes for the women in his life; and as a natural progression he wants to grow up alongside his company.

'Our girl is being invited to more cocktail parties than swap parties', said Henry Holland.

So long gone are the slogan tees and HoH has opted his inspiration from glamour and disco paired with the 1970's and New York nightlife. The acid colours were still there; from turquoise and aqua to purples and lime greens. According to Henry they always start the colour scheme from purple and work from there. The playfullness of HoH was seen in a banana leaf print, swarowski crystals embellishments, iron on stars and fluffly donut earrings. For me HoH will never be a label for grown-up women, but this collections showcased shapes that were more consciously sophisticated.

Me and my dear friends Kelly and Nathan had the privilige to be invited to a HoH screening and Q&A held in the Henry Holland Pub (Henry himself said if they ever decide to close up can he please have the sign!). This was the first time Henry saw the show after the catwalk, and after meeting him in person I am genuinly impressed. He was such a nice man; very laidback and funny. BFF material for sure. A LFW highlight.

London love

Been back in Sweden for three days now, but my heart is aching for London already. Had a great trip and even managed to see some shows at LFW. Highlights were Cooperative Designs (review is coming up), Henry Holland's screening and q&a at The Henry Holland Pub, and seeing Janice Dickinson face really close up was something out of this world. Catwalk reviews are coming!

Bday treat

I thought to myself what do I want for my Bday? And there was only one thing I really, really want. And it is not even a thing, it is a place. A place where I am at my happiest, where my best friends are and where all the fun is. London here I come <3

Je voudrais

I have always been a fan of T by Alexander Wang, but resisting to buy their stuff because the ever so slightly overpriced tag. However, this is the kind of brand to purchase during sale. Mrs H have some great stuff, and if I could I would buy the entire line. This site also stock Ann Demeuleester, Helmut Lang, Rick Owens, Haider Ackermann, Maison Martin Margiela to name a few of the brilliant brands the have. A new favourite webshop? I think so.

Nonsense really

Ever since I can remember I've had to defend my 'skinnyness' on a daily basis. It is getting kind of old. I can admit that I have had some issues in the past, but those are long gone. I eat a lot of so called healthy stuff, not because I want to lose weight but because I like it. I am sick of being referred as anorexic (two days ago), bag of bones or whatever it might be. And don't say that people are jealous. This is too heavy stuff for a Saturday, now I am turning to wine and marlboro menthols.

(Really pointless words really. Not like it is ever going to stop unless I go obese any time soon.)

Beauties

I feel sorry for some of my clothes and shoes. I am talking about the ones that rarely gets to go out for a spin. Now it sounds like I am describing the worst of rags. But it is the direct opposite. These are the most beautifully crafted garments I own and still I rarely wear them. My Bernhard Willhelm shoes are probably my best shoes and I fought so hard to get them. I remember searching like a maniac for weeks, and then the rush I felt when b store had the last pair London in my size was priceless. I feel guilty for not wearing them. I know they are only shoes and I should stop ranting but they are too freaking good a pair of shoes not to be worn.

So I am taking them out of the closet. Out of the box. Say hello to my beauties.

(Mine are actually white, with a black toe. Even nicer. But couldn't find a picture. That is how rare they are.)

Happy people?

It is funny the things that makes you happy. Happiness is something that is really hard to define and pinpoint in words. Because it is different for everyone. What makes you happy might make me sad. A friend and me always use to say 'we want to be one of those happy people'. That are always smiling. Are they wearing a mask? Yes maybe, but can I please have one of those then.

(Don't worry I am not depressed just suffering a slight headfuck.)

Happy 20th Twin Peaks

They have started showing Twin Peaks on Swedish TV. It is running all summer LONG and it is making me very happy. Brilliance by Mark Frost and David Lynch. The characters, the music, the vibe, the men--they just don't produce series like this anymore. Agent Cooper is just something else.

'Harry, I have no idea where this will lead us, but I have a definite feeling it will be a place both wonderful and strange'. Dale Cooper

So what's new?

1. First summer of being a meat eater is pretty sweet I have to say.

2. However I just found out I am allergic to milk. So once again I am proving to be difficult.

3. On a more fun note midsummer came and went. I won two cinema tickets (so now I can watch Sex and the City 2 with no regrets) and had some snaps.

4. I have coloured my hair again. I am feeling the ginger look. Mostly because my favourite Mad Men gal.

5. Sixten almost died. It is crazy how much you can love these small creatures. Thank god he returned.

6. I finally got my Chanel 505. Even got a piece published in a Swedish newspaper about it. When I want something I want it badly.

7. I am addicted to football, and think Argentina vs Germany will be a killer game.

8. I rarely go out these days. I really need a proper night out. But work is money. And money means fun later on. I might just book a last minute holiday come August. To get away from everything.

9. I think about London every single day.

10. I can sleep again.

I'm Back!

When I started this blog I promised myself that I would update every day. Yeah right like that was going to happen. But I am not one to give up. I have tried to give up smoking several times so maybe if I think of this blog as a cigarette I won't give it up so freaking easily.Crazy comparison I know. If I sound insane it is only because I am currently working 7 days out of 7 two weeks in a row. Pretty sweet. And because this leaves me with no social life whatsoever I watch football, a lot of football. All my free time. And even more insane I love it. Not as much as having a pint with my favourite peeps in London. But hey what can you do?!

Now almost time for Portugal - Spain. Could be pretty intense. (where does this interest come from??).

MILK

Based on a true story, and starring Sean Penn as gay activist Harvey Milk, the film Milk is brilliant. Sean Penn is portraying Harvey Milk with such power and honesty (and the right touch of his eccentric mind) that is no wonder he won an Oscar for best male actor. He fights for what he believes in, and does he fight til the end. Just two words: Watch it.

Less is more

Make Up Store have launched a new perfume range and I have to say I am pretty impressed. The bottles are personalised with messages of scribbles of who the wearer is, what she likes and what attitude she has. And maybe more importantly they smell very nice.''I am proper and live after the motto 'less is more'. I love the pureness and simplicity in things. A black dress and red lips are all I need, besides somebody special in my life who enjoys candlelight dinners''.
I think this one might be me.

An Education

I read an review today about the film An Education, were it was pretty much torn to pieces. So I wanted to see it for myself. The jig is pretty much young schoolgirl meets older, very charming man, they fall in love and everything is all so sweet. But the oh so charming man turns out to be married (surprise surprise) and young girl fails her education. Even though the story is very predictable at times I still liked it and think it is worth watching. If not only for Carey Mulligan, who feels like a breath of fresh air in comparison to all the Sienna's and Kiera's there have been before her.

Cravings

Never have I tried so hard to track something down as this stupid nailpolish from Chanel (well maybe my Bernhard Willhelm shoes but that was a win win situation were I managed to find the last pair in London in MY size). I know it is only nailpolish but I REALLY REALLY WANT IT. Can people please stop buying it, or stop liking it for that matter. And the worst thing is that I grabbed it at Heathrow but decided not to buy it.Do I need to get a life? Probably yes.

Chanel 505 is what's keeping me sleepless

Hello lover

Quite surprisingly, mostly due to the fact that my wardrobe is built of black, black and black, with the odd addition of grey, white and blue, I fell in love with these beauties. By Acne, of course, silk tapered trousers with a crystal print. Not to let the rest of my wardrobe down may I also have this black number. Wouldn't mind the shoes either:

Oh London...

Long midnight chats in the kitchen. Always a shoulder to cry on. Red wine and cigarettes. Drunken text messages. Ponystep on a Sunday. Running in the rain. Children in leads. Priscilla on the stage. Morrissey. Too high heels. Blue lips. JD and coke. Fringe trims as Alexa Chung. Bow tattoos. La Roux. Hangover hang. Starbucks. Dreambags. Beautiful people. Bruises. Diet coke. The three witches. Karaoke out of tune. The day after walk of shame. G&T's. Holland tights. Not saying moist. Heaven and back. Tiny dancer. Bubbly. Pain au chocolates with the best of friends. Best burger on Brick Lane. Holding hands. Always someone to moan with.

You he she

Youheshe.com is a danish online shop. Shame it is so bloody expensive shipping it to Sweden or I would buy the following:

Leather leggings, J Dauphin T-shirt, Ganni
Shirt, Helmut Lang Body, Acne

All pics: youheshe.com

Just looking at the Helmut Lang shirt makes me angry. I tried it on at Liberty when it was on 70 % sale but decided against it. I could actually make a whole post about clothes and shoes I decided not to buy but can't stop thinking about. However, that would probably only make me more depressed.
